Back in Action, 2010 Leisure League

Spring has sprung with the beginning of another fabulous kickball season starting Wednesday, May 12. To sign up, visit the sheet in MBB's nerve center or email sscherer@mbbagency.com by April 2.

Cost per person will be approximately $30 and will include a t-shirt and our bye-week cook out June 23. A big thank you to MBB for covering half of the team's entry fee!

Please note that this year games will be on Wednesdays at Gillham Park. There are also now 9 teams instead of 6, so look out for new competition!

The excitement continues

Although our season will come to an end soon, the fun doesn't have to. Two upcoming parties have added the Business Time team to their VIP lists.

First, Alistair Tutton and Springboard Creative are having a party at the Vox Theatre July 2 (your first free Thursday evening!).

To wrap up the season, we'll have a Leisure League party on July 16th. Details still to come, but it will be a free event so pencil it in your calendars.

Tournament Thursday 6/25

The league has cast their vote and we'll be playing in this week's championship tournament. There will be 3 rounds of play in this single-elimination structure. We need all hands on deck- so please add a comment below with your name, and let us know if you'll be able to make it. See you there!

Tournament Time

How would you like to structure our tournament? Choose for # 1, 2, or 3 by Monday 6/15 5pm. Add comment below. I will vote with the majority on behalf of the team.

Option 1 (2 night tournament June 25 and July 2): All 8 teams play the first round of the tournament at 6pm and 7:15pm on June 25. And then the 4 remaining teams play at 6pm on July 2 and the final two teams play after that at 7:15pm on July 2.

Option 2 (1 night tournament July 2): in order to get all games in before dark, in the first round of tournament play games would only last 4 innings with 4 teams playing at 6pm and the other 4 teams playing at 6:40pm. Then the 4 winning teams would play at 7:15pm followed by the championship game at 8:15pm.

Option 3 (1 night tournament June 25): Same as option 2, but we'd move the tournament up one week (into the rainout slot) so that we wouldn't have a conflict with 4th of July weekend plans.

Couple of things to add. If next the 6/18 games get rained out and moved to June 25, then Option 2 is the only way to go. And the other comment is, if we go with the tournament being all in 1 night, all teams could cookout and stay to watch whomever plays in the championship game.

Can you play the double-header 6/18?

Please let us know if you can or cannot play next week. Two big games back to back! Leave a comment below with your name. Thanks!
